Description[]
Ma Xiaotao is a descendant of Ma Hongjun and Bai Chenxiang. She was the captain of the Shrek Seven Monsters before Huo Yuhao's generation.
Appearance[]
Ma Xiaotao usually dresses in red clothes, with her face covered by a red veil, which does little to hide her extremely beautiful appearance. She has very long scarlet-red hair and a beautiful pair of crimson eyes representing a ruby. She is also a buxom girl with a busty body.[1]
Personality[]
She is has a domineering personality and tends to be rather detached, distant and cold. When alone she has been shown to be relaxed and almost childish, especially when interacting with her adoptive younger brother, Huo Yuhao.
Her temper is fiery and explosive, but her thoughts and reasoning are meticulous and thorough.[2]
Plot[]
Shrek Academy[]
Having lost her sense of being due to the madness of her spirit, she goes berserk and rushes out of the inner school. She subsequently attacks Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong, who are enjoying their time by the Sea God Lake in Shrek Academy. Faced with the sudden attack, Daydream takes over Yuhao's body and releases an ice attack, to which she tries to overcome but ends up receiving it head-on, thus fainting and falling into the Sea God Lake. She is then retrieved by several teachers.
Later, she wakes up within the secret room on the island deep in the Sea God Lake. Her teacher asks her what she remembered about the incident and the person that effectively stopped her berserk form by infusing ice attribute force and suppress her evil fire. She responds that she didn't remember having had her spirit gone on a rampage which makes her teacher berate her. Then she and her teacher discuss about the guy that was able to suppress the evil fire in her spirit. When she hears the information gathered by her teacher, she asks her teacher to not further investigate it, but her teacher responds that marrying the person able to suppress her evil fire means that her problems about her spirit will be resolved, which makes her blush and say that she doesn't want to marry a guy that she doesn't have feelings for.
Ma Xiaotao meets Yuhao again when she looks for Xu Sanshi who was buying roasted fish on Yuhao's stand. Being curious on what Xu Sanshi was eating she decides to try on it. After eating she introduces herself to Yuhao and Wang Dong and asks Yuhao what his spirit was. Also, supposedly in Chapter 53, it has seemed as her and Yuhao did some sexual things as implied in the manhua, but not confirmed. Confirmed in chapter 60 of the novel translation to have engaged in precoital activity with a 12-year-old Yuhao.
She gets injured just before the continental games due to the corpses being exploded by the Evil Soul Masters. This results in her not joining until the last few matches. In order to win, she ends up fighting one on two with the Xiochen siblings and getting hit by the Judgment Sword Soul Tool. This awakens a "Dark Phoenix" in her which has evil connotations.
She is kidnapped from the Sea God Pavillon by 4 Evil Titled Douluos as they want her to be inhabited by a "Sacred Lady"
Etymology[]
- Ma means "horse, twenty-first" (马).
- Xiaotao means "small, little, tiny, young, few, tabloid, bitty" (小) (xiao) and "peach/peach tree/peach-shaped thing" (桃) (tao).
